Weigh-In Times

Friday January 10th – 8:00-11:00am or 3:00-6:00pm; Saturday January 11th – 7:00-8:00am

Rack height for the Yoke will be determined at the time of weigh-in. Deadlift opener will be taken as well (can change up until your weight class starts).

Day of: Rules brief will be at 8:00 am with first lift at 9:00 am. 

Spectator Fee: Adults: $5  Kids 16 and under: Free 

General Information: The location of the competition will be in Jacksonville, NC. Hometown Gym is moving to a new, bigger and better location and I will update with the address when I have it.

Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd of each overall weight class. Still working on what those will be.

Events

Log, Axle, CDB for reps: 60 sec time limit. Athlete can start on either the log or axle. On the start command athlete will press the first implement. On the down command the athlete will move to the second implement. Once both the axle and log have been pressed successfully, the athlete will move onto the CDB and press for reps. The athlete does not have to clean the CDB after each down command and can press away. The second hand must be removed from the shoulder/CDB prior to initiating the press. 

Equipment allowed: Grip shirt, elbow wraps, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk

Not allowed: Tacky or sticky substances, 

Max deadlift: 30 seconds per lift. Athletes will have 5 attempts to deadlift as heavy as possible. Once an athlete misses a lift they will not be allowed to continue. Athlete can start strapped into the bar. There will be a "Lift" and a "Down" command. Weight must be lowered to the ground with control (dropping from the top will be a no rep). The lift will be conducted on a deadlift bar from standard height. Women will have plate/quarter jumps, men will have 55lbs and quarter jumps. 

Equipment allowed: Wrist wraps, straps, belts, chalk, knee sleeves, suits, briefs. If figure 8 straps are used the hand must maintain contact with the bar

Not allowed: Tacky or sticky substances, no bare feet (socks at minimum) , hook grips

Rising Yoke: Athletes will run a yoke on a 50ft course for a total of 150ft. 90 seconds, unlimited drops. Athlete will start under the yoke and on the command pick up the yoke and carry 50ft. At the 50ft mark the athlete will drop the yoke and volunteers will load the yoke with more weight. Athlete will turn around and carry the yoke back to the start point where it will be loaded with more weight. The athlete will complete one more 50ft run to complete the course. If the athlete does not complete the course a distance will be measured, if complete a time will be given. Front of yoke must cross the line on each run to count as completed.

Equipment allowed: Knee sleeves, knee wraps, one soft and one hard belt, grip shirt, chalk

Not allowed: Tacky or sticky substance

Sandbag & Keg to Sled Drag: A keg and and sandbag will be placed at the 50ft line. Athlete will pick up one implement and carry it down the 50ft course and place it next to the sled. Athlete will run down and grab the second implement and carry it the full 50ft as well. Once complete the athlete will drag a sled with weight already loaded back 50ft. If the athlete does not complete the course a distance will be measured, if complete a time will be given. 

Equipment allowed: Knee sleeves, knee wraps, one soft and one hard belt, grip shirt, chalk. Hard belts must be turned to the side or backwards to prevent damage to the sandbag

Not allowed: Tacky or sticky substance

Max Stone to platform: Athlete will have 30 seconds to load a stone to a 50in platform. Athlete will start with hands on the platform and on the command pick up the stone and load it. After a successful load the athlete will move to the end of the line for the next stone. Athletes can jump in when they want but have to take every stone after they enter. If athletes make it to the last stone a split time will be given. A clean up station will be set up to prevent a mess.

Equipment allowed: Tacky or sticky substance, chalk, stone sleeves, tape, grip shirt
